The 2010 WACTA Summer Ladder, will again be proudly sponsored by Mr. John Lin, president of CapStar Commercial Realty. WACTA is greatly appreicated Mr. John Lin's continue support at this summer ladder event year after year!

We will kick off CapStar Summer Ladder on Saturday, May 15th, 2010, and follow by two indoor competitions on Jun 12th, Jul 17th; and conclude with a final on Aug 7th. This event will take a maximum of 40 registered teams (all doubles, all skill levels, men, women, or mixed), which will be assigned with initial ranking and divided into 5 divisions. There will be four indoor tournaments held at the Four Seasons Tennis Club on above mentioned dates. Dinner boxes for players will be provided at each indoor tournament. In between the indoor tournaments, every team is encouraged to challenge other teams and accept as many challenges from other teams as possible. Please click here for the tournament rules.

Registration fee is $70.00 per person and is due when players arrive at the first indoor tournament on May 15th. The deadline for registration is May 9th, 2010. A registration of two players as a team has the priority over separate registrations of two individuals who need an assigned partner. The tournament is limited to WACTA members only. If you are currently not a WACTA member and wish to participate, please first register as a member at this website, and pay the membership at the first tournament date. For the first time, this year’s WACTA family tennis camp will be held at the Wintergreen Resort, VA, scheduled from Friday, June 25th through Sunday, June 27th.

Wintergreen Resort is located in central Virginia adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway, around 2.5 hours of driving from DC area. It is ranked as one of the top 10 tennis resorts/academies in the world by TennisResortOnline.com. There are many amenities in and around the resort, including full-service, mountaintop spa and gym, shuttle bus services, mall, hiking, golf, fly fishing, mountain biking, a variety of enticing dining options and much more. As usual, WACTA summer camp will include tennis clinic, tournament, golf, night party and other fun activities.

The tennis clinic will be provided by the award-winning Wintergreen resort academy. All instructors are USPTA certified Teaching Professionals. Participants will be divided by tennis skill into beginner, intermediate and advance groups. Please indicate your skill level on the application form

Total of 8 hours clinic will be divided by four two-hour sessions as tabled below (max 20 people per session) -

Session 1 Friday, June 25 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Session 2 Saturday, June 26 from 10:00am to noon
Session 3 Saturday, June 26 from 2:00 to 4:00pm
Session 4 Sunday, June 27 from 9:00 to 11:00am

WACTA Family camp group practice and tournament will be managed by WACTA Camp Tournament Director. All of campers are welcome and sign-in is required. A total of four hours is scheduled as following –

Friday, June 25th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm (Tournament)
Saturday, June 26th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm (Tournament)
Sunday, June 27th 11:00am (ceremony)

CHECK IN: Friday, June 25, after 4pm (note: 1st Clinic session starts at 2pm )
CHECK OUT: Sunday, June 27 noon

REGISTRATION: Spaces are limited. Please register immediately, by completing attached Registration form below. A non-refundable registration fee ($35 WACTA member/$50 Non member per family) is required by April 15th. Full payment is expected by May 15th, 2010. A $15.00 late registration fee will be assessed if registered after April 15th , and availability is not guaranteed.

CANCELLATION: You may cancel the registration if there is an emergency. Please forward the written cancellation to Tina Kao, before June 15th, 2010. Please also be aware that registration fee is non-refundable, and one night charge per room will be charged after May 15th.

WACTA 2009-2010 Team Tennis Series (TTS) will be held at the Four Seasons Tennis Club on the following dates: Nov 14, Dec 12, Jan 16, and Feb 27 (final). This event will accept 8 teams. Each team competes in 5 doubles matches in each tournament. Each doubles pair will play against 3 other pairs in a round-robin format for 2.5 hour court time (12 games per match) in each tournament. The 5 pairs of doubles are: 1) Women, 2) Mixed, 3) Men, 4) Open-I, and 5) Open-II (See bellows link for RULES for details).

This event is a social-competition series event similar to the other popular WACAT ladder tournaments. The registration fee is just $15 per player per indoor tournaments. It includes tennis matches, dinner boxes, and awards. If you enjoy social and competition tennis, come and join this event.
